Smartphones like Samsung Galaxy have their screens to be very expensive. It's the same thing with latest iPhone devices too. Replacing the screen of iPhone 14-16 Pro Max cost more than $370 which is quite expensive.

Have you ever had to replace your smartphone's screen?

I replaced a screen on my iPhone 8 about 7 years ago. I shattered the entire screen. I didn’t have a case on it at the time.

The new screen cost me about $150-200 to

I have insurance on my phone now though.

I did replace my smartphone’s screen once, but the device died too soon after. I took it to a local repair shop, paid for the fix, yet it failed within weeks, so I upgraded.

I have never had to replace my smartphone screen, because even though I have insurance, I'm too tempted to upgrade my entire phone than spend the $50 (even with insurance) to fix a screen.

Last phone it happened to, I was luckily able to log in with a USB mouse, as the screen wasn't cracked but had no sensitivity, to get some files that I would've lost if I didn't figure out that neat trick.

I have had to replace the screen of my smartphone. It is very expensive to achieve. You would have to spend something in the region of $30 just to have the screen of those Chinese branded smartphones replaced.

As much as I have accidentally cracked a screen on one phone I had, due to how old the phone was, and how much it would cost to replace the screen, I figured it would be cheaper to get a new phone, as I needed to upgrade anyway.

I have seen some prices for a screen replacement, and they are quite steep and sometimes, buying a whole new phone is usually the better option.

I have repaired my phone a couple of times but I found that it is pricey when you repair at the brand's repair shop but lesser if you go to the third party repair shop. Has anyone experienced this?

I have had multiple screens replaced due to irreparable cracks that rendered the phone useless. I dropped my phone just yesterday and I can already see a small crack on the screen. I had replaced this screen not more than 2 months back! I have to be extra careful now. It is quite costly to replace the screen.

I have replaced screens multiple times, sometimes it has lasted for long and sometimes they got damaged in few weeks. I had to replace screen because I did not have money to buy a new phone and by replacing screen I could buy more time so that I could save enough to buy a new phone.
