I hate going under the knife. It's one thing I have phobia for. I never feel comfortable with it. I wouldn't say that I've had surgery before but I've had some stitches done right above my eyes.

I was in a fight when a chair was hammered on head. The impact would have blinded me if I didn't put my arm to cover my eyes. I had 8 stitches to mend the injury.

Have you ever had a surgery?

I have had surgery twice in my life. The first time I had surgery, it was when I had my first child, I ran into complications when I was in labour and my son got stuck at 7cm dilated, it was either an emergency caesarean or we would have both lost our lives so I agreed to the caesarean.

The second time I had surgery, it was to remove my gallbladder, this was done via keyhole surgery and I was in and out on the same day but had to rest when I got home.

I haven't had surgery, but your experience sounds intense.

I'm happy to hear that your surgery was successful despite the complications you had. It must have been a very terrible experience for you. I haven't had any surgery and I don't want to experience it at all. I pray my health doesn't deteriorate to that level.

Thankfully, I have never had to undergo any surgery. But, I have had to do many surgeries because I am a doctor by profession. Rather, I was.

The problem with surgeries are, as far as I am concerned and when I am a patient is, you are given an anaesthetic and that very moment you sleep. The idea that we are going into a self induced sleep from which may never wake up (the probability is so minimal) terrifies me.

Its my perspective. Not equating with anything else please.
