music Have you ever been obsessed with a song?

For threads introducing new music releases, discoveries, or recommendations.
System of a Down - Lonely Day.
This is the only song I like from System of a Down. I just could never get into their other songs. As for me I tend to get obsessed with different songs, right now it's this one I've been obsessed with. I first heard in the film King Pin which is hilarious btw if you guys/girls haven't seen it yet!

There's a guy called NF, all his songs resonates with me so well. There's this his song titled Motivated, no matter how many times I played it, I will still want to listen to it more.

I got a lot of his songs on my playlist too. Thanks to you mate😉. His songs are fire!

Therapy session is a banger too.

I am obsessed with just about every NF song. I can't believe he flew under my radar for so long.

NF - When I Grow Up said:
Anybody wanna hear me rap? "No"
Come on, let me play a couple tracks, "No"
Come on, I can spit it really fast, "No"
You think I should throw this in the trash? "No"
Tricked ya; haters, go away before I hit ya
I am not a beggar or a kiss-up

This his song How Could You Leave Us was directed at his mother for choosing drugs over him. He was so bitter against his mother.

But growth later happened to him and he forgave his mother and sang about it in his new album HOPE.

How Could You Leave Us
Sounds like the story behind a lot of Eminem songs, or where he was mentally.

The same with Eminem by dropping Headlights, except Eminem has a second chance to repair his relationship.

Sad to hear about NF's loss. Opioids are taking too many.

Seriously, drugs waste a lot of talents in the music industry. Take a look at what happened to DMX and how he died, it was such a sad story. He would have broken into movie's industry as well but unfortunately drugs didn't let him.

I didn't even know that DMX died.

Rappers need to stop it with this lean and popping pills shit, and doing it themselves. I'm sure it's influencing some listeners, only contributing to the problem.

With all the negativity lately, I've been feeling Coldplay's - We Pray lately. It doesn't matter who you pray to, or if you take it in the literal sense to a God, but you just wish the best to everyone despite your differences. It feels like the unity that we all need now more than ever.

I actually like the live version better because it has a little punchier bass and shows the unity I spoke of.

He passed away on 9th April 2021, at the age of 50 year old. His cause of death was as a result of suffering a heart attack which was triggered by by a drug overdose. He was great loss to the music industry.

It happens all the time. I get a song in my head and I am singing it for days on end nonstop.
This happens to me, too, especially if it's a new song from my favourite artist. It sticks to my brain naturally.
I just discovered a new artist earlier today, and now his songs are going to be on repeat for the next few days.
To be honest, we are in the same boat. I also discovered a very talented singer and his song is very meaningful. It ministered to me. Yes, again, it's going to be on repeat for a couple of days.

I wouldn't say obsessed but there few songs that I never get tired listening to them and I can listen to these songs hundreds of times in a loop. One of such songs is Another Brick in the Wall

How?? It was in the news for about two weeks until he was burried and a few months after.
