There are people that are highly insecure in relationships and when you get involved with them, everything you do would be scrutinized. You can't even dress nice to step out, because it would be adjudged that you are going to see another person. Someone they consider a threat to them can't greet you. If they do, you would have to give an explanation.

I have dated a lady that is so insecure. She suspected everyone that was a female one around me including my family members. She had to fight with a female member of my band for always standing to sing beside where I play my piano when we go for events. It was that nauseating.
