discuss Has Mohammed Salah's hope of winning the Balon d'or ended?

Liverpool star player Mohammed Salah has been in phenomenal form this season, topping the chart in premier league goals and assists, resulting in the club comfortably sitting in the first spot. At this point, it is safe to say that they are going to be crowned champions.
This has made Salah be one of the favorites in Balon d'or rankings.
However, that hope has been dealt a serious blow following Liverpool's exit from the Champions League earlier in the week, no thanks to a resilient display from PSG.

Do you think all hope of Salah winning the Balon d'or is lost now?

This is a tough call even though he is doing well in the premiership. Mbappe, Lewandowski and a few other stars are still in contention. If he wins the Premier league with Liverpool, he should be among the top 5 in Balon d'or ranking.

Liverpool just got beat in the Carabao Cup too. Sure, it's a Mickey Mouse competition, but its silverware and it went to Newcastle. Poor performance, really, from The Reds. They better win the Premier League or the entire season is a bust.

But it has been proven times without number that domestic title is not enough. There are other contestants that are still in the champions League

No, I don't see Salah winning the Ballon D'Or. Liverpool only have the English Premier League to show this season. It's not enough to win the Ballon D'Or. Salah was caged in both legs of their UEFA Champions League round 16 against PSG.

He couldn't make it to the quarter final of the champions league. That is a big dent already on his charge for the Balon D'Or. Maybe, if he does well in the world cup qualifiers in Egypt to guarantee them a place inthe world cup, he would be in the running for the award. But he can't win it.
