The latest trend to keep your skin supple, look young and healthy is a good dose of glutathione.

Poeple take it as oral supplement in the form of tablets, powders and even as injection. One of my friend who regularly takes it loos very young. Though he is 37 year old, he look like 28 years.

Do you take Glutathione? What are your thoughts about it?

I had taken glutathione tablets some time back to see it claimed effects, and honestly, it works like magic, making the skin fairer, less pigmented, supple and gives you a lovely glow. However, it effects are temporary and the moment you stop using it, its effects fade in a matter of few days. It is good to know that it downplays melanin and this may in a long run and high doses cause graying of hair too plus its costly. :ROFLMAO: Now who is ready to sponsor me?😜

So, what they say is true!

Glutathione supplementation. is working wonders on the skin. However, I am still doubtfull about its usage because there is not much scientific literatre regarding the harmfull effects of Glutathione on body when it is supplemented orally or intravenously.

I have asked a few cosmetic dermatologists that I know. What they tell me is that it has produced very good results and so far, none of their patients have presented with any side effects. However, I am doubtful because of the conflict of interest between the profession they are doing, product they are endorsing and the money they make.

I read that N-acetylcysteine may be a better alternative to it.

Apparently, Glutathione does not dissolve and get into your system as much as you might think it would. You're not getting the proper dosage that its marketing might tell you that you are getting.

But it looks fairly safe unless you have breathing issues or are being treated for cancer.

I don't take it. Your body apparently produces it naturally, though.
