movies Favorite Movie of All Time

For threads focused on discussing a specific movie, its plot, or reviews.
My favorite of all time is Saving Private Ryan. I have watched it at least a dozen times, if not more. Each time I watch it, I have a completely different experience, as I am watching it from the lens of another character, even the character of the bad side, as they too are human.

The other movie that comes close to that for watches is Interstellar. I've watched it many times, and each time it's just as good as the last. I hear they're going to do a 20-year anniversary IMAX release (first released October 26, 2014), and I'll be damn sure I'm there for that if they do an IMAX run here.

Probably because we're coming up on 20 years, an article about Interstellar appeared in my feed about another perspective on the movie, which made me question it again, and makes me want to put it on now to watch through that lens. I don't want to add spoilers, but, the gist is that the very first scene in the movie where he's a fighter test pilot, fighting to stay in the sky, is when he actually dies. That would change the entire movie, as he'd be in a parallel universe, except after death, the course of humanity changes, i.e., the crop problems where only corn can grow, etc.

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is my favourite movie of all time. I always have more interest in war movies that are true life events. I've watched other movies like 12 Strong, Black Hawk Down and many more but none of holds up so much for me as 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi did.

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi
This is one of those great titles that are lost among all the other true-story war movies, and probably for good reason. *Looks over my shoulder*

It made me want to watch it again, maybe tonight, and I see that the price to buy it is just right. So, I may add it to my collection of movies that I can watch whenever.

Why rent it when the purchase price is that close?

That’s right, The Replacements is a really cool movie. It indicate to use the importance of teaming up in order to achieve some goals in the team. But the other excellent movie I watched multiple times is Miracle. It is a factually inspired story about the US hockey team’s underdog victory in the Olympics. It's very interesting and it's at the top of my list.

I would want you to consider watching Remember the Titans. It’s another great movie that I can't stop talking about. I heard that it was a true story. It demonstrated the importance of team work, irrespective of the differences. Nothing beats a team work in every aspect. There are pretty much beautiful and inspiring messages to learn in this movie. If you like watching sweet movies like The Replacements then you will definitely like to see this one too.

Renting it would be what they call being pennywise and pound foolish over just $1.2 difference 😂

It's better to buy it, at least it's not sold for the initial $14.99.

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi
I remember watching this movie and not even realizing the time passing. It is so well written and paced that it is fully immersive for those who enjoy movies in this genre.

Mine is Tenet. Not because of the story, but because of how it is constructed. Everything seems confusing at first until you put it all together, and it becomes one of the most mentally stimulating movies of all time. I get why people do not like it (many say it is too convoluted), but I still love it.

If I start making a list of favorite movies, probably, I will end up creating a book. LOL
I enjoy watching movies and probably I have watched thousands of movies and have hundreds of favorite movies. I can name few:
Scent of a Woman
Clockwork Orange
One Flew Over the Cuckoo Nest

I fully understand that all people have such a list of the movies they like, including me. It is really difficult to reduce it into one or two. But you already said my mind there. Your options are so great. Scent of a Woman and Clockwork Orange are great choices. I would personally include The Shawshank redemption and The Godfather.

The intensity of shooting in the movie was crazy. Also, the drive through trying to run to safety was adrenaline pumping all through the scene. The Texas ranger guy on short pant was very funny seeing him dress like that 😂

Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings Trilogy are my favourite movies of all time. I had to re-watch the Lord of the Rings Trilogy all over again when they released The Rings of Power TV show.
I love these films too, but The Lord of the Rings trilogy cuts the cake. I have always admired the scenic views, the characters, the wars, and everything in between. I didn't watch all of The Rings of Power even though I own it. I was so attached to The Lord of the Rings when it first came out that I watched it on repeat.

I can't wait for the season 2 of Rings of Power to come out. There's going to be more fights in the next season.

Who's your favourite character in Lord of the Rings Trilogy?

Balrog is my favourite character in both Lord of the Rings Trilogy and Rings of Power.

This is my favourite scene in Rings of Power.
