Famous obviously means popular but for me popular is not a criteria for watching a movie or series. I watch what I am interested in. One such very famous film series is Harry Potter, which I haven't watched till date. I simply find it childish and impossible (fantasy part) that when I heard about the story of its first episode, I lost interest. Obviously this is just my opinion and not necessarily shared by others. Has this happened to you too? Are there famous tv series or movies or shows that you have skipped despite everyone around you talking about them?

I totally get where you’re coming from—personal taste often trumps popularity, and that’s what makes us unique. Like you with Harry Potter, I’ve skipped Game of Thrones despite the hype; the heavy fantasy and endless drama just didn’t click for me. It’s cool how we can pass on the ‘must-watch’ stuff and still find our own gems that others might overlook!
Totally get this! Just bcz something is popular doesn’t mean its for everyone. I never watched Game of Thrones, and ppl act like I commited a crime

I haven't watched the Lord of the Rings Trilogy despite its popularity even amongst my friends. I am not just drawn to the fantasy genre and I think that's why I didn't even bother watching it.
