Family is inherently part of the society and being part of it , some actions will carry you to fame and some will carry you to shame. In that backdrop, how much importance do you think we should attach to the family's honor/shame when it comes to making a hard life decesion?

For example, marrying someone from a different religion or being wedded to a prison inmate you became your life partner?

In our culture, family dignity is very important. We take a pride in living an honorable life. As far as I can remember there has been no incidents in our family, including extended family, that brought a shame. If it ever happened it would certainly make me ashamed but I would also try to handle it by saying I cannot take responsibility of some other people
