news Eminem Reveals He Will Become a Grandpa in Emotional Video for ‘Temporary

In his tear-jerking video for his new single “Temporary,” Eminem reveals that he’s going to become a grandfather.

The song, included on the rapper’s latest album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce),” is dedicated to his daughter Hailie Jade, who surprises her father at the end of the video by gifting him a jersey that reads “Grandpa” with the number one on it and a photo of her ultrasound.

The video itself is a montage of footage of Eminem and Hailie together over the years, interspersed with footage from her wedding in May. In the clip, he chokes back tears as he sees her for the first time in her white dress, and dances with her as attendees look on
Hailie herself celebrated her pregnancy by announcing it on Instagram, posting photos alongside her husband with the caption, “Mom & dad est. 2025.” She initially met her husband, Evan McClintock, after meeting at Michigan State University in 2016.

Temporary,” featuring Skylar Grey, is one of two songs on “The Death of Slim Shady” that’s dedicated to his children. “Somebody Save Me,” another single off the project that features Jelly Roll, is an apology to his kids for his shortcomings as a father.

Eminem’s 12th album released in July following a rollout that included the singles “Houdini” and “Tobey” featuring Big Sean and Babytron. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and recently had a surge back into the top 10 following the release of its “Expanded Mourner’s Edition.”

This is so beautiful to watch and hear, as being a pretty big Eminem fan, he sings a lot about his regrets about not being a better father to Hailie, Alaina and Stevie

Maybe this was planned by him to drop his last Platinum plaque, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), and shift work life around to make up for missing his children's lives by being the best grandpa.

I'm so happy that his daughter Hailie would have a baby soon and I can see that he's overjoyed. I think Eminem is also growing as a person and becoming a grandpa is not easy fit.
