An emerging digital currency has floated the idea of money based vouchers which can be used only in a predetermined 'store/shop/retailer/wholesale shop' for a specific purpose with amount being specifically written down. This is then transmitted in the electronic format.

It is believed that this directed spending will help reduce corruption and also result in the increased efficiency of public/private expenditure.

In our country, the central bank is working on Central Bank Digital Currency. This electronic currency will be pegged 1:1 with fiat currency and will be created by depositing equal amount of fiat money in reserve. I like this idea as it will be easier to send and receive funds as well ads make purchases.
