discuss E-Bikes

A thread covering the latest news on trends, groundbreaking technologies, and digital innovations reshaping the tech landscape.
A family member used e-bike for sometime but was unhappy overall, with it as it needed to be recharged and the charging points were not available easily. Private charging points costed significantly, plus it was not very beneficial for long distance travels. However, for short distances and in areas were chargers are easily accessible, it is a good option.

E-bikes are definitely reliable and can save you a lot of money. I have seen quite a few people use them for commuting to work, and I have even seen people use them for food delivery services as well.

I don't use one myself but seeing how much more expensive petrol/gas prices are, it is understandable that most would take this route.

I dont have an e-bike but I have a electric car.

If I ever get a chance to buy an electric bike, I would be glad to. After using an electric car, I have these intense love for anything to electric as its very smooth and without much noise.

Now, a concern is the battery performance - how is it? Would like to get a review about it.

I have used e-motorbike but never used ebike. I recently heard that a guy in my town can convert an ordinary bicycle into ebike with just $200. I am very much interested in getting an ebike, which costs around $400 in my town.
Amazon sells kits to do it.

A friend of mine bought a similar kit from Walmart for around $100 and did it himself. It wasn't that difficult to assemble.

He turned a regular mountain bike into an e-bike. It works but it's not the most reliable e-bike.
