My city has over 1500 years of rich history in art and architecture. There’s a huge market for hand-crafted items, from textiles to pottery, reflecting deep cultural roots and skilled craftsmanship.
In fact, I can name 10 local markets that are for artisans in my country. They even hold trade fairs occasionally to showcase artisan's handmade products. The government is also supporting them greatly.
In my hiking brand, since it's centered around local National Forest and state park trails, I do a lot of tourism promotion in the communities in and around the trails.
The Mom-and-Pop shops need the most support, so I try to support them the most including dining, shopping, and lodging.
Locally homemade gifts are pretty cool and pretty unique.
Especially local food and treats,
You can go spend $12 on a shake from Dairy Queen eating soft serve that is more air than anything else or get homemade hand dipped ice cream from the local sweet shop and actually enjoy what you're eating plus it's half the price.
The chain places? Way more expensive than mom and pop!

In my community, we understand the value of unique and locally made products and that's why we have markets that are basically meant for locally made products. It’s also a way to showcase talent and preserve our traditional crafts.
We have market for hand made products. Hand made products are mainly sold for visitors and foreigners around old palace square.
