fitness Does your body get really sore after workouts?

This general fitness thread covers all aspects of fitness, including workouts, nutrition, wellness tips, lifestyle changes, and fitness advice.
You are going to be sore after every workout you do, especially if you just began 2 weeks ago, but recovery time does shorten.

Time and ensuring there's enough of a gap before hitting those muscle groups again is the best and cheapest solution. However, if you have the money to spend, I've found that glutamine can help with muscle soreness and quicker recovery.

When you're a year into working out regularly, you'll probably only notice soreness for about 12 hours or so.

If you have just started, getting sore body after working out is a common phenomena. It takes weeks before your body gets adjusted to your workout routine. Just make sure your body does not get injured.

This is not something uncommon. I haven't seen anyone who just started working not having such a complaint. You are not alone in this, as I have been there as well. I’ll share you some Important tips

1). Makes sure to eat enough protein, you can get that in foods like fish, beans etc
2) never stop exercising because that's what will take the pains away
3). If after doing the above and still no change, please consult your doctor

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) is a real thing and is especially prevalent and can become an issue if you play competitive or physical sports, or do a lot of jogging/running and aren't keeping to a super regular injury-free training schedule.

I myself play football and rugby and suffer a lot with DOMS on some occasions, especially if I have three games in a week which occasionally happens. I try to eat a lot of bananas to help with the cramps and drink isotonic drinks to help with energy replacement.

DOMS is a real problem and with your demanding sports schedule , it can be quite a nightmare, I strongly understand that. If only you know there is such a thing, then it is good that you are trying to do something about it. Taking potassium and replenishing the body energy are very effective ways to solve this .

Yes it does especially for those I spend days i workout without taking a break
Failure to allow the muscles to rest can most certainly result in more severe muscle stiffness. If you do not take breaks when exercising, your muscles are not given a chance to recover and repair thus worsening the soreness.
