I am one who believes in multitasking and it has been a life saver for me. I wonder how I would have been achieved a lot that I've achieved so far in life if I am not actively trying to do more than two things at once? It has been a big plus for me as far as I am concerned.
I can't substantiate this claim; however, I have observed that women are better at multitasking than men. I am one among such women who multitask and don't regret. It has been productive for me and time-saving as I always have multitude of tasks that I feel would have otherwise, not be done in the 24 hours time period that we have! Now, it is difficult for me to do one task at a time!
I multi-task a lot and have been for many years. I'm able to get more things done that way. I'm more effective doing more than one thing than focusing on one single task.
I don't get burned out this way or anything as each thing is different than the other.
I am workaholic and for me multitasking really helps. I get bored doing one task and when I start another at the same time, I feel energized. I have read a lot of research that says multitasking does not help and it even reduces productivity but I think it all depends on person.
Multitasking often hurts productivity. I used to juggle messages and work, but it lowered my focus and quality. Focusing on one task at a time improved my efficiency and reduced stress. Multitasking feels like a skill but can be counterproductive.
