discuss Do you trust movie ratings?

When we talk about movie ratings, platforms like IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes comes to mind, but are there ratings actually 100% accurate? Personally i feel it's not possible to get an accurate rating for movies cause people tend to rate based on their own preference, so Rotten Tomatoes might rate a movie high, but due to my preference i might see the movie as not good enough.
