discuss Do you think jungle justice should be the way out where the justice system fails?

This thread covers all aspects of ideologies, including beliefs, principles, traditions, policies, and their influence on society and culture.
I have turned a blind eye to a mob lynching a man that tried to snatch the bag of a lady. I am completely indifferent on the issue of jungle justice. Those criminal elements have rendered me to the ground with their activities. They entered where I keep my musical equipment for my live band and left with equipment that I used years to save and buy. If they are caught on the way and are mob lynched, would I stop the mob? No, I won't. I can't be part of jungle justice but I can't intervene to save someone that a mob is about to lynch.

In April 10, 2016, a group of more than ten guys armed with guns broke into our house. Took every gadget they could see including iPads, smartphones and smart televisions. They raped my then 15 year old cousin. Three of them took turns to rape her. That remains the biggest trauma of my life.

If I a passing by the road and a person that was caught stealing is about to be burnt to death like it is done in my city, I would get to the nearest fuel station, buy fuel with my last money and donate to the mob to make the burning easier. Judge me all you like but those armed robber guys would kill you like they have done to people in my city here when they want to rob you.

Jungle justice might feel like a quick fix when the system fails, but I don’t believe it’s the right solution. It often leads to violence, wrongful punishment, and undermines the rule of law. True justice requires fairness, transparency, and due process, even if it’s slow. Taking the law into our own hands risks chaos and harm to innocent people. Instead, pushing for reforms and accountability in the justice system is a better path.

No, I don't believe in jungle justice. If justice fails, you should try to improve the justice system instead of becoming a judge yourself. Judiciary system seems to be failing in many developing and politically unstable countries but this is taking towards anarchism.
