What's your take on gambling habits? Do you think it's a thing which should be considered a health disorder? There are those whom are of the opinion they are gambling for fun like I was discussing with one man last night but I don't think it's true because they always use more than what they can afford to lose and gamble.

Do you think gambling a health disorder?

I would say that gambling can become a health disorder, especially if you become addicted to gambling to the point, you end up with severe issues, which then can in turn cause mental health issues.

I do see that gambling sites and even places do try and do as much as they can to prevent people from becoming addicted, but once they do, where is the help to get them out of that addiction?

Gambling addiction is a mental disorder. I have seen those who are always crying and begging for help on how to stop using their money to gamble.

It is such a sad sight when you see these people who can't even get help from anyone as they waste away their money staking on games.

There is nothing that suggests gambling to be a health disorder.
Gambling, to the extreme, is a mental health disorder per the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5).

Some people can do it as a way to pass time, but others most certainly do get addicted to the dopamine hits of winning, to continue to lose it all.

I've seen it in the military, too. It, sometimes coupled with abuse of substances, is used as a coping mechanism for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) among other mental illnesses as it can give the addict a rush of happiness for a brief moment, wherein they chase those hits until they're going paycheck to paycheck or even getting up to a million dollars in debt (losing their house, etc.) and still can't seem to quit. Usually, those cases of gambling are when a member is out of the military, as going that far into debt can cause you to be kicked out or even lose a security clearance, because someone so far in debt cannot be trusted with classified or sensitive information.

I think it's despicable that some streaming services (I think Kick) rely on Stake or other gambling sites for revenue. I would wager to say that younger adults and even teenagers are on there, and introducing them to it will inevitably lead to bad consequences for some.
