fitness Do you prefer working out at home or the gym?

This general fitness thread covers all aspects of fitness, including workouts, nutrition, wellness tips, lifestyle changes, and fitness advice.
In the gym, since I can do more exercises since there is more equipment such as dumbbells of different weights and exercise machines, at home I only have a pull-up bar, a pair of dumbbells and the exercises that I can do with my body weight.

I would prefer going to the gym because I like to meet new pole and interact with new people. Exercising alone would be a really difficult thing for me. When you are at the gym, you can meet new people who can also guide you.

Visiting the gym is an extra layer of commitment in terms of getting that motivation looking at others' training at the place. I like that as a person and would recommend those who struggle to keep up with their fitness goals at home visit the gym.

I prefer working out at the gym please. It os easy to get discouraged at home and give up to gp get a bottle of yoghurt in the fridge. But in the gym, I know I have to do what I must do.

Going to the gym comes with a certain level of commitment, which is why many will want to go there instead of training at home. What has stopped some is the subscription fee that is being paid a gym houses.

I have always been someone who has preferred to work out at home as opposed to going to the gym. I find myself comfortable at home when I am working out, rather than being in public and working out.

I can understand why some would prefer to be at the gym, though. The equipment available for starters would be one of the biggest reasons, I think, especially since some equipment you can't fit in a home.

Yeah you tend to want to do more at the gym. You don't want to be caught slacking off. Most standard gyms are now charging high for subscription plans now, but maybe we should blame that on the economy?
