Bollywood is the name used for the movie industry based in Mumbai, India. It is biggest movie industry based on the number of titles produced every year. Have you watched any Bollywood movies, do you have favorite Bollywood movies? Well, I sometimes watch Bollywood movies and I like old Bollywood movies instead of new releases.

I have watched a lot of Bollywood movies and shows. I heard that they turn out over 1,000 films annually. That's huge! The good thing is that its influence extends beyond the Indian borders. I like dancing to their music even though I don't understand what they are saying.🤣
The closest I've gotten to watching a Bollywood movie was Monkey Man, which isn't Bollywood, but heavily inspired by it and other Eastern action.
Monkey Man is a great movie. If you enjoyed its blend of action, you might also enjoy the actual Bollywood films like Ghajini.

I'll have to look into this and more into the genre in general.

When I first saw Monkey Man in theaters, I could've sworn it was a Bollywood film. I was going to reply here that it was the only one I've watched, but double checked and found out that it wasn't one. 😅

Yes, they are the biggest producer of cinema but sadly most of their movies are mediocre. Despite making 1000 movies in a year, only a dozen or so can be good.

As soon as they figure out the secret is monopolization instead of market cannibalization (essentially quantity), they will do great.

They'll need studios to buy each other out to reduce that 1000 figure down to 100 and out of the 100 you'll get 25 or more hits that could compete with US blockbuster numbers.

I do, and I love them. There are so many hidden gems in there, but many people are turned off by the accents or need to watch with subtitles sometimes.

If you read this and haven't done so, go search for and watch a Bollywood movie called RRR. It is a fun time (although a little long at about 3 hours) and does not have the cheesiness many movies in the same genres have.

I also think that they need to reduce quantity so that they can focus on quality. However, the main problem with indian cinema is they are only working on the projects that can pull crowds, or commercial movies to be precise. They call it formula movies, and sometimes masala movies

I'm very familiar with Bollywood movies being that I'm a movie freak. Although, I will be very honest in this one, it's the olden movie's production by Bollywood that I enjoy, not all they have in store now. Some of the movies that I enjoy from the movie industry are ;

Yes, plenty. I watch one almost every week. Not every movie is fun to watch though, however, you can't miss good ones either. If you are looking for entertainment, Bollywood movies are something to turn to. Some have good songs, some have good storyline, some have good acting while others have good dialogue delivery.
What was the last Bollywood movie you watched? I watched Sam Bahadur and it was good.

I just cancelled going to movie this evening. The movie HIT: The Third Case was playing. I had watched Ground Zero last week. I feel there is a need for younger generation to watch more movies that conveys true information about a country's history.

I might be wrong but I believe that most of the Bollywood historical flicks are exaggerated, they do not show history in true sense. They show folklore and legends as their source materials rather than facts.
