Tomatoes are rich in potassium, thus, making is very good for heart health. They contain vitamin A for vision, and B-complex vitamins for brain function and mental clarity.Tomatoes can also cause issues like kidney stones or joint discomfort. If you suffer from arthritis or inflammation, it’s best to avoid them.

Tomato is a fruit, but do you eat like a fruit?

I love raw tomatoes and has been eating them as fruits since my younger days. I remember, how mom would buy a kg of tomatoes and about half of that she would cut lengthwise and serve in a platter and within minutes, the plate would be empty! We all love tomatoes and we eat them on daily basis as both fruit and vegetable.

I don't eat tomatoes as a fruit. I eat them as a vegetable. They are always major components of my fried foods. It is only few times that I have had to eat tomatoes raw as a fruit.

I hate tomatoes. Infact, when I have any food including burgers, I ask the kitchen to specifically not use wholesome tomato and use tomato paste or tomato ketchup instead.

Another reason is that tomato has a lot of oxalates which is responsible for kidney stones. My family has a history of kidney stones, so I generally stay away from that.

No, i do not eat tomatoes as a fruit. There is one of my friend who eats it as a fruit and i tried doing so too but i regretted it because i hated the taste of the raw tomatoes. I eat tomatoes as a vegetable.
