off-topic Do you celebrate your birthday?

For threads discussing subjects unrelated to the main forum topics.
Our mindset about birthdays change as we grow! In simple words, when we were younger, we feel that celebration is great, but as we grow in age, at some point we might not need to go out and socialize with other people, sometimes we just need company of our families and friends. That's all. Now, I prefer celebrating my birthday with limited number of people.

Birthdays are adventure days for me. So, I go out jumping and can even try new recipes in my kitchen just to celebrate my day. It is a day that I learn something new about myself. The past year, I spent my time with friends going for a camping trip. But now, the tradition as to change. I want to do something I have never done before, like creating something memorable.

I would prefer not to, but my family thinks otherwise.

They'll throw the party. I'll just eat up the delicious dinner and cake. :-P
I wish I'm still living with my parents. I know they would love to throw a birthday party for me every year. I miss them so much but I can't eat my cake and still have it since I decided to leave home.

I celebrated my birthday last after my university days when I was doing my 1 year National Youth Service Corps program. This was in 2014 if I remembered correctly. Since then, I've not celebrated it again.
I usually just celebrate my birthday by having a few beers at the bar. I’ll probably do the same this year. My birthday is in two weeks.

I also celebrate it by having a cake with my family members and a dinner.

Happy birthday in advance bro. Do you like drinking alone at bar or you go with your friends on such occasions? Spending time with your family is a great feeling on a special day.

I never like eating cake. I don't know why it was even made a birthday thing 😂 😂
I don't really celebrate my birthday anymore, but I like to reward myself with something nice whenever my birthday comes around.
Gifting yourself is a very good thing. You don't have to wait for someone to buy something for you on your special day.

I make sure to gift myself at least three time in a year. One is during father's day, my birthday day and Christmas which happens to be my birthday too.
Even though my birthday have passed on April 13th, I bought a new shoe for myself last month. I've been admiring the shoe for a while and I've got it now. It was delivered yesterday.

I like ice cream cake, especially Carvel’s brand. Their cakes are the best lol. I don’t like regular cake on my birthday.

This really looks very good. How much did you pay for it? I wouldn't mind buying something like that for myself too this December.

I'm having a custom sandals made for me at the moment.

I don't celebrate my birthday. Once I became adult, I stropped celebrating my birthday. I don't see a need for celebrating my birthday. It is just a waste of money and time

I bet that you are still celebrating that of your kid until he's a grown up? It's always a big event in the life of a kid. Whenever I go through my family's photo album and see my old birthday pictures, it makes me so happy.
