You know how humans tend to commonize anything that they have in abundance. I have had conversations with people that tell me they lost interest in their man or woman because the partner loved them too much. It has never happened to me though.

Do people get bored of a partner that loves them too much and actually shows it? Is showing depths of love a taboo?

Sometimes love can be taken for granted. Some people do not value love and they tend to think that since their partner loves them very much, they can easily get away with things like ignoring or cheating to some extent.
