discuss Do open relationships actually work?

There are people that do open relationships. It implies that each party in the relationship are free to have affairs with other people. Given the very jealous nature of humans, do you think that open relationships would really work with no party getting jealous?

Since it is an open relationship, how do you suppose it gets into a stable relationship. If you are into a stable relationship, how can you be still open to other affair?

I can't do an open relationship with someone that I love. If I ever agree to do an open relationship, it simply means that I don't love the person. The very thought of my woman being involved with someone else can drive me nuts. Open relationship? Not me.

Open marriages work with some people but for me, I don't think it can work. I have seen couples who had an agreement on open relationships and because they are on the same page, they were able to manage it effectively.

The idea of open relationships is just not cool in my opinion. It simply means that if the relationship was not open in tye first place, both parties might be cheating on each other.

I know that most people can't live with the idea that the person they are in a relationship can be with someone else. It would mess up their entire psyche and turn them to an emotional wreck. I am one of such persons and open relationships are not for me.

I am certain that an open relationship won't work for me. I don't share my man for any reason. The mere mention of the possibility of an open relationship turns me off completely. And it has a health risk too. Won't do open relationships ever. Can't do it.
