From my observation of actors-turned-politicians, in my country, most of them have not contributed significantly as they had promised during the election times. Most got voted due to their popularity from their acting careers. What is the status in your country? Why do you think despite popularity, actors are not strong leaders/politicians?

In the United States, actors turned politicians have done pretty good. However, not everyone can deliver. That's because most of them time they are opportunity. Since they do not get movie contracts, they want to be a politician so that they continue to enjoy celebrity status. Interestingly, in our country, when actors contested in elections, they have been rejected by the people.

I think actors-turned-politicians have mixed results. Their public speaking skills and fame can help connect with voters, but governing requires different expertise. Success depends on their willingness to learn, surround themselves with good advisors, and focus beyond celebrity status. Interesting, in my country, actors always lose to seasoned politicians.

In my opinion, actors turned politicians can do well but only if they understand leadership well and public service. Just being popular on screen doesn't always mean someone will make a good leader in real life.
