While getting a new device, what is it that you are looking in a display?

Are you looking at the material of the display, its brightness, its resolution, its size or its refresh rate?

For me its mainly its size and refresh rate because I use my phone to play games. Additionally, I already wear a glass, so if its a small size then that would strain my eyes very much.

I am always particular about the screen size and the resolution of the screen. Those two variables display good graphics for me to be able to use my screen for my different task seamlessly. I use my smartphone and computer for music production and the two variables help me to operate optimally.
Just out of curiosity, how do screen resolution help you in music production?

I am not at all a music buff, so my question is borne out of ignorance. Sorry about that.

@Lord Severus When working with a Digital Audio Workstation like FL Studio, there are too many controls like plug-ins, mixers, samples and the likes. A good screen resolution would help me to fit in all those tools and make it handy for use without the workspace being cramped. I mix and master faster when I use a PC with good screen resolution.
