Singapore, China and Hongkong has been cited to have surging cases of Covid-19. A few cases has been reported in India and Africa too. We might soon witness another bout of Covid-19 and hopefully in 2025 it won't be as severe as in 2019. It still remains to be seen whether "Covid-25" is the same strain or a different one, and those who were vaccinated still hold the immunity or not. What is the status of Covid-19 in your country?

I am not as up to date as I used to be with COVID-19, so this is the first time I am seeing that there has been surging cases in some places. I do hope that it is not a strain that we are not protected against,t and we do not see something similar to 2020.

We still see the cases of Covid but the condition is not severe. Well, looks like vaccinated people are not immune to Covid but their conditions is not severe.
COVID-19 already had variants and I believe, vaccines targeted the original and at least 1 or 2 variants. So, it should be safe to say that it would be a new variant, if anything.
Was it truly ever? Every hospital in the US put the cause of death as C-19 when it was clearly not the case, because that is how they got the big bucks.

I got Covid in 2020, I was bed ridden for 10 days. It was a severe case, but I did not go to hospital, I did not even consult doctors. I believe most of the Covid deaths were not actually from the virus but people lost hope. They made it appear dangerous.
Did you confirm it was C-19 with a test, or just suspect it was C-19? I only ask because you said it was a severe case, but didn't go to the hospital or see doctors.
I did antigen test at home, and it confirmed.

I just had a suspicion as to getting it as it was the worst "flu" that I ever had, but it was short-lived in comparison, lasting days as opposed to weeks.
I think there's a blood test that you can get to see if you have the antibodies for it to confirm, but I haven't inquired about the price. I'm also nervous to ask as if the test reveals that I haven't had it, the doctor will try to push for a vaccination.

There are cases of covid-19 surging in some countries and we don't want it to look like what we experienced in 2020. It was indeed a terrible experience. We had that the JN.1 variant is driving the surge and we need a proactive measure.
