I have never prepared meal by reading cook book, however, I have watched a lot of youtube videos to try new dishes. It is easier to follow instructions when you see what the person is doing.
I love cookbooks but ever since I have been following YouTube channels on cooking matters, I have begun to develop my love for YouTube more because of its visual guardians and real time demonstration.
YouTube 100% for everything.

I grew up learning to cook with my mum and my grandma, and they always used cookbooks back then, but that was all they had available as the internet was not as easily accessible as it is today.
I will admit, even though I grew up using cookbooks, I do now find it easier to look for recipes online and take that route.

I have always focused on using YouTubes. You've got to believe me that it has helped me become a better cook. I have learnt some tips that helped me grow while doing it.

I prefer YouTube tutorials. Watching the steps makes it easier to follow, and I can pause or rewind anytime. Seeing the process in action helps me learn faster and avoid mistakes in the kitchen.
It is easier to follow visuals compared text recepies. The main reason why we have graphical user interface is beacuse users tend to respond faster to graphics compared to text. This therefore explains why people would effectively choose youtube recipies instead of a cookbook while leaning to cook a new meal.
