There are a lot of people out there, who are in the habit of taking prescription medicines as long as they are symptomatic. The moment they feel better, they stop using the medicine and do not complete the prescribed dosage. This can be dangerous and may cause treatment failure and develops resistance to certain drugs in a long run. Do you complete your prescribed dose regardless of how well you feel?

I was not a fan of completing the course of medication. But my parents and sister would never let me be. They would monitor an adult me to be sure I took the drugs when I am supposed to till it is completed. My sister is a nurse and she tells me about how drug resistance has made some people suffer with common diseases. I am more aligned towards completing the course of my medication nowadays.

  • I’ve successfully completed the full course of the prescribed medications.
  • I followed the dosage instructions carefully as directed by the physician.
  • I’m feeling better now and will continue to monitor my health as advised

If I am given medication such as antibiotics to treat a health issue that I have, I will always, even if I start to feel better,r ensure that I take the whole course and do not just stop.

I also know of people who have done this and now they have issues when it comes to health issues and need to take medication.
