Time to sandbag the doors then! 😜
We're lifted enough where nothing gets inside but the water is up to the stairway doors which makes it hazardous to evacuate in case of an incident. Therefore, that requires us to close shop.

But by law, I have to be here. I don't mind it. I can get stuff done without having to do other stuff that comes up.

Hopefully, by law, you're compensated for it, though!

Just got back from the store where I usually get rice. Almost all the rice was sold out, with only 3 choices. I had to settle for 5kg of rice for $35. I'm wondering if the US tariffs have anything to do with it, because some rice they stock is from America.

VELO sold in the States, even though "stronger" than Zyn (7mg compared to 6mg), but doesn't hit as hard as Zyn, is now on the shelves in Japan. It's not the same VELO sold in the States, though, as it appears in different packaging and may be straight from Sweden. I just picked up a can for 340 yen (compared to $5.50ish from the States).

I'm confused about the nicotine levels, though. They taste better than American-made VELO, but I'm unsure about the nicotine contents as it's vague with "dot" levels (no mg specified). It looks like I have to sign up and verify my age to see what the dots mean and how much it is per pack.

I got a 3/4 dot one, which was the highest, and it seems alright. I might just convert as it's about 1/2 off with the exchange rate, if they pack the same punch, that is...

Happy Thursday, or as I like to call it Friday Eve :) I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Been a busy one today for me, had quite a bit of work to complete, and my son had his interview at the college for the course he is looking to do in September. Luckily, it seems he has a friend on the same course so he is not as nervous as he first was which is good news for me :)

Hopefully, he's accepted!

Just got done with a leg 🦵 workout. Trying to get those diamond calves back before summer.

Supposed to be 80 degrees (f) today. Bring it on!!
Felt like that today, but I don't think we quite made it.

My car read 26 degrees Celsius (78.8F), but I don't trust the sensor because it can be a bit hot in the direct sunlight to get an accurate reading.

We've been in the 80's for the past couple of days. It'll be in the high 80's on Friday. I wouldn't be surprised if we clock the 90's though.

Seems like we're starting to reach that point now. However, we have some cool drafts that are still making it tolerable without having the AC on at the moment while inside, though in the car, since there are more windows and more sunlight, I've been running the AC for about a month now.

Are you ready for the heat? I know I am, I don't like the cold weather.

We've been our ac for the past two months now. The heat only comes on if it's under 60's.

I'm good with the heat.

I'd preferably take the hot dry Texas heat over the humid heat here making you feel like you're wearing a wet wipe in 10 minutes after being outside. 😄

Currently sitting on the front porch while a thunderstorm rolls through. Was in the backyard but had to shift to a safer location.
We had a few storms roll in over the weekend as well. They weren't pretty. We had 40-50 mph winds and we were under a Tornado warning throughout Friday night.

I like rainy days. It is sunny here at the moment, and I wish that rainfall should start. I enjoy rainy days a lot.
I'm from Washington State where it rained, a lot. I don't mind the rain whatsoever. It's only an issue here as it is also hot and that only increases the humidity when the sun comes out.

Dry & hot or wet & cold is preferable.

Happy Friday Eve! I hope everyone is having a great week! I can not believe just how cold it has turned here in the UK, it almost feels as though winter has made a comeback. We are looking at the temperatures rising again in the next few days, so I am hoping this time it will be here to stay.

Have a great rest of your Thursday! :)

I've always wanted to go to the UK, but I need to look into how the weather is and when would be the best.

I'd like to possibly visit all 4 countries(?) on my trip if I do go, so there's a lot more than just the weather to research.

I have noise-cancelling headphones, but I turned it off for the past week. It seems like I can get an extra day out of listening with it turned off.

If I am listening to music and working out, I'll turn it back on, though.

Has anybody seen similar results with theirs? I'm unsure if there's a battery life listed for both settings... I'll have to look into it more.

Missed a critical detail in my plan to go to the States this summer. I looked at my daughter's American passport and verified that she was okay to go, as she'll need that to enter the country. I completely overlooked her Japanese passport, which expired 2 years ago, that she'll need to get back into Japan. Luckily, I double-checked before booking my flight, hotel, and rental combo last night.

We're trying to expedite a passport because ticket prices are just going to climb. I think that mistake will cost me $400-600 ($200/300 each) extra. 😣

Well, shit. I hope everything works out for you. What part of the states are you planning to visit if you get everything worked out?
