When I got into cycling, I went all out. I got a different bike for different types of riding. I bought more cycling kits than regular clothes. I rode so much that I lost 100 pounds in just a couple of months.
I went from not being a cyclist to embracing the full lifestyle of cycling.
When I started hiking, I went all out with it, too. I have a backpack for every type of hike. I have a mission to hike every trail in my region. On the weekends, it's always hiking or something outdoor related. I quit going to bars, the movies, and all that because I'd rather hit the trail.
A friend of mine said I'm too extreme with my passions and that I give up normal stuff just to go bike or hike.
Do you think there is such a thing as being too extreme with your passion? What if it's not actually hurting anyone, though?
