discuss Can the disabled be mean and abusive?

They can be mean and abusive and many times they can project their own weakness by pointing out weakness in others. It's not very nice.

Well, the Bible and maybe other religions say nobody is a saint, but modern culture tends to paint all disabled as angels.

Even though I do not want to generalize but I have met some disabled people who try to use their disability as a weapon to get favor. If you refuse them the favor, they will start by saying "you are doing this to me because I am disabled." Some people seem to have victim mentality.

Some disabled persons would make you feel miserable for not helping them when they beg you. I have met one that insulted because I didn't give him money. I don't blame them. They have dwelt with the victim mentality and it might manifest in being mean and rude.

Well, being disabled doesn’t make someone immune to negative behaviors. Like anyone, disabled people can be mean or abusive sometimes. It’s important to see them as whole individuals, flawed like everyone else, rather than assuming kindness or weakness based on ability.

Of course because the disabled are only human too.
