No, they will always have a preference, and I think it is very natural. We are four siblings, and my mother loves my brother most. That's because he is youngest and has spent more time during childhood his with her than other kids. However, my father prefers my sister, their oldest child. This does not mean they don't love me, and they have never mistreated me or given me less just because they have preference.
