discuss Can AI-generated films ever surpass human creativity?

This is a thread to discuss anything related to movies.
Despite the fact that AI can replicate some of the creative processes in film making, I do not believe they can surpass creativity of human. The AI Imagination lacks the ability to solve problems using feelings, emotions, and common sense. We may marvel at the visual presentation or the fine twist of the plot that an AI program might come up with, but it will never have the passion that a human being puts into his work.

Without being creative how do you suppose to create a film using an AI? You need to be creative enough to come up with prompts to generate videos. Creativity is required every where. AI sometimes can do better than humans because what you might not be able to do manually might be easily done through an automation tool

We connect and appreciate movies because of the emotions involved in the movies. If it is purely robotic and lacks the depth of emotions, it might fail to become popular in a long run. It may fascinate us for a short-while and probably mainly impress the younger generations, however, the older generation will still prefer human touch.

I have a feeling that over the years, we will see AI generated films that will surpass human creativity but I fear, if AI does start to take over and creating films, we could end up with films being too much of the same after a while, depending on how long it takes for AI to develop to offer more when it comes to films.

As someone who has been watching movies for years, nothing will ever beat human created films.

I won't bother with watching Ai made movies. For me, it is not going to exude the different emotions from me, and for that reason, it makes absolutely no sense to me to focus on watching that kind of movie at all.

I think they might surpass the ones who let it do that.

AI is already surpassing creativity on forums and blogs as more people rely on it to create content. And it shows. It's hard to talk to people that rely on it so much.

Creativity is a trait IMO that helps prevent us from losing our memories as we age. Lose creativity, the brain isn't exercised as much, and you'll likely be senile as you age. Sad way to go.
