Is it true that the blue and green coating on your spectacles protect you from the dangerous light and whatever rays are being emitted form your computer screens?

I generally prefer to have my lens without any coatings because I dont see that its advantageous to me. Another factor that prevents me from using it because when I click a picture on my phone or camera, the coating is clearly visible in the picture completely destroying the beauty of the photograph.

What is your experience with coated lenses?

Probably, if advertised to. Though, it could be clear, too. My eyeglasses have blue light protection and they're clear.

I haven't noticed any significant health advantages that blue light protection says it has to offer. But, to pay $20 more for glasses in the off chance that it might allow me to keep my vision longer was a no-brainer decision to make.

Yes, these blue coatings are actually blue light filters from gadgets, and are very beneficial for those working on the screens for extensive hours. Blue light has the capability to cause what is known as Dry Eye Syndrome, which becomes quite irritating in a long run and if left unaddressed can cause quite a disturbing problem for those who need to use screens on regular basis.

I grew up from like 7 years old to 13 years old on a CRT monitor...

...before getting an LCD monitor from then on.

I think I'm naturally vaccinated to this Dry Eye Syndrome as I have never been negatively affected by it, only ever getting blue light protected glasses a couple of years ago, which is a short time compared to how long I've been online. 😅
