I'm a 6'5" tall 22 y. o. guy, and being that tall I regard my belly area as the most vulnerable area of my body. If I get attacked with a blade, for example, the attacker most likely be shorter and jab me directly into the belly. And in general, if I get attacked - its most likely that particularly my belly will suffer. And the abdominal area is itself pretty vulnerable, as its not protected with bones and has vitals. And if I get stabbed into the belly - I can either die fast if they hit abdominal aorta or suffer an excruciating pain or sepsis that could result in a slow agonizing death.

Most animals do not expose their bellies in horizontal body position. But humans walking upright do expose that body part. And being tall makes your belly even more exposed relatively to the others.

They would have to get pretty damn lucky the first time for a quick death. You'd be surprised at how long you can live with your intestines literally outside of your body; it would be long enough to pack and get to an ER by car before an infection could set in. The infection would more likely happen after the fact if they weren't able to patch you up right in the OR.

I noticed this with cats. Some will hide their bellies. But, domesticated enough, they leave them wide open because there is no longer that fear.

The best defense is if you have a longer reach. Someone might not go in for a poke if they know you can get a clean shot off on the approach.

I have never even thought of it that way 😮. But I wouldn't consider it a disadvantage considering the probability of you getting attacked-very slim.
On the plus side, being tall gets you the girls. That's cool, no?
I love me some tall guys and can't stand a short guy. And I am tall too.

All those talks of a tall person being more vulnerable in an attack only relates to unexpected attack. But for meditated attack, a tall person has the advantage of taking out a shorter person with just a heavy punch to the head.

I never actually thought of it like that with someone tall. My eldest son is very tall, he is 6 ft 1 inches, and even though he is quite tall, I never even thought about how vulnerable his stomach area would be.

It is true that animals do hide their bellies as they are super protective of that area, cats are one that I know do that but once they trust you as an owner, they are not as protective.
