Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
I thought this movie would be great for a horror night, but I was sadly mistaken.

Barbarian had great potential, and I enjoyed the Quentin Tarantino-like storytelling, where I believed the story would come together in time. However, that just made more questions of like, "How?" The story cuts didn't quite tell the story.

I'm not sure how it got such great ratings. Because of the untold stories, I'd give it a 2/5 myself. It had potential if they just dove a bit deeper into the past to explain the present, but it left too many questions unanswered.

It's an alright horror if you ignore the details and just let it play through.
