discuss Astral projection: Have you ever tried it?

Astral projection or out-of-body-experience is a practice of intentionally separating consciousness from physical body. I would say, its one of the most thrilling experiences and only those who have experienced it can actually understand and believe it. Have you ever astral projected? Are there any specific era or places where you have visited with projecting?

When I was a young teen, I was into Paganism. I practiced wicca, necromancy (modern), and eventually Satanism. I attempted to do astro projection through my time with that. It never worked. I probably wasn't all the way in on it. I was doing that stuff for attention for the most part because being Goth looked cool.

In my late teens, I left all that and got baptized in the Christian faith and while I'm not extremely religious today, I do believe in Christ and not so much in the Paganism stuff. But I try not to judge because that's not my duty.

Not exactly, I have a friend who has tried multiple times and recommended me to give it a try, but idk, the sole idea of "disconnecting" my mind from my body in a physical way is scary to me. What I did experience was something, similar(?), when sleeping - basically at some point I felt like I was floating in my room, and it was the most peaceful sensation ever. I woke up feeling great. It was a one time only experience I should say.
