Religion is a good thing when practiced in the right way because when it's abused, it tend to cause a lot of harm than good. The reason why a lot of religious war have been fought is as a result of overdoing things with religion. It's why in USA, public schools are prohibited from teaching religion as a doctrine and some other countries too.

Are you for or against religious teaching in public and private schools?

I am against religious teaching in school. How would see it when someone comes in the class and tell the students about big bang or Charles Darwin and the the subsequent teacher will stark saying "Let there be light." How would a religious teacher defend the killing of Copernicus?

Public schools get funding from the taxpayers, so I am against that. Private schools, on the other hand, are funded by private citizens paying tuition for themselves or their children, so if that's what you want in your school, you're paying for it, so you should get it.

Private schools in my country managed by nuns include religion as part of the school's curriculum. Many parents enrolled their kids in a school like that to let their children know how to do the rosary and learn good manners and right conduct. It's not against in my country. Some religious group here preach in a public where people are. Some listen and some don't.

I agree with you. Everyone deserve to get what they are paying for with their hard earned money. If the parents want their brain washed with religion and all its doctrines in their private schools, by all means let them have it.

Honestly, the cultural left isn't pushing religion in the US, but rather an extremist ideology like religion. It promotes trans surgery for kids etc, and I won't have my kids have any part of it

So is it any wonder you got the religious right backlash, even if it conflicts with church vs state?

I'm not asking for religious public schools, but just public schools that are like when I attended
