fitness Are you empathetic towards people with mental health problems?

This general fitness thread covers all aspects of fitness, including workouts, nutrition, wellness tips, lifestyle changes, and fitness advice.
I would say I am empathetic, to a certain extent though. I feel for people who deal everyday with deep mental problems, I'm aware many cases can be debilitating to death. However, I knew some people in my life that would use their mental health issues at the expense of others' goodness, which made me become a lilttle more observant. It's tricky, but if the person is still perfectly capable of the good and the bad, and they choose to be bad people, I may loose some empathy.

Absolutely, I believe it's important to show kindness and understanding to anyone struggling with mental health. We never fully know what someone is going through, so a little empathy can go a long way. Everyone deserves support and to be heard without judgment.

It gets worse in the region that I am in. People think that people going through mental issues are weak and feeble minded. That's so terrible. I always give listening ears to people that are going through mental health issues and offer support as much as I can.
Yes, I have noticed that in some areas/communities/societies, mental health is totally misinterpreted not just as weak or feeble minded but also as witchcraft, voodoo, possession and whatnot. This becomes a real challenge for the victim as it delays in seeking appropriate mental health care and many times, they never get correct treatment.
