Given human nature, I would say "yes".

However, a statement was released by the Republic of South Africa’s Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation disputing the classification the United States used as a reason to call these South Africans refugees.

“We reiterate that allegations of discrimination are unfounded. The South Africa Police Services statistics on farm related crimes do not support allegations of violent crime targeted at farmers generally or any particular race,” said Chrispin Phiri, Spokesperson of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation in a written statement. “There are sufficient structures available within South Africa to address concerns of discrimination. Moreover, even if there are allegations of discrimination, it is our view that these do not meet the threshold of persecution required under domestic and international refugee law.”

Critics have blasted the Trump Administration for their refusal to allow refugees from other regions the same courtesy.

The history as we have read in school and colleges are distorted. When it comes to racism, it is generally believed that only the Africans suffered, which is not true. Racism is severe in South Africa, my friend's sister's family live there. They tell me how they are treated as "brown race" and how "white race" is treated.

Everyone is rotten to each other, so I see what Trump is saying here.

In all fairness, the issue requires a lot of consideration because the white South Africans are claimed to face farm related issues and some people point out that there is a systemic racism and inequalities in South Africa which is affecting the black majority. Above all, I believe there's racism in South Africa even with the neighbouring African countries.

Well, we can't deny that Afrikaners own around 75 percent of the farmland now. People like that being surrounded by a third world situation are of course going to stoke populist anger. It's like with the Jews in 1930s Germany or with the East Indians in 1970s Uganda.

That's true. Since SA is richer than neighboring nations, it attracts immigrants causing the same situation as with illegals in the US.
