four tours in Iraq. The movie depicted a patriot who feels a strong sense of duty to protect his country leading him to the army after witnessing the 1998 US Embassy bombings during his deployments. Kyle becomes a legendary sniper known for his exceptional skill and precision, and earning the nickname Legend. The movie balances intense combat sequences with scenes of Kyle's domestic life. This movie broke my heart. While I do not agree with some of the things soldiers have to do in the name of war, freedom, and liberty, I do not think it was fair how things ended for Chris Kyle.

If you have not watched American Sniper, make time for it. It will take you into a deep, dark forest, and you will come out the other side much better for it.
